Digital Scrapbook

     Have you ever wanted to create a slideshow that shows all of your pictures while having music played in the background? I used two websites that were both good in different ways. The two websites that I used were called Photo Bucket and Animoto. A difference in the two was that Photo Bucket didn't let me use music but Animoto did. They both were easy to use.

     On my first site I used Photo Bucket. Photo Bucket is really easy to use and understand but there are good and bad things about it. Some good things are that it is easy to understand and I just had to pick my scavenger hunt file and it pulled up all of the pictures that I needed. Some bad things were that I could not add music to my slideshow or put any edits or effects in it. Photo bucket has good quality in the pictures for the most part. Overall Photo Bucket is easy to use but doesn't allow me to do anything to my slideshow like music for example. It is very effective besides the music of the slideshow.

     The second website that I used that was called Animoto it was very user Friendly and I understood how to use everything. Animoto gave me a tour at the very beginning after I signed up which was very helpful. Animoto allowed me to use music which Photo Bucket didn't but there weren't a lot of choices to choose from. A down fall about Animoto was that it had a water mark on it that had the logo on my slide show and it wouldn't get rid of it unless I upgraded to pro. Animoto makes the pictures look good and this website has good quality. Animoto is a very useful and effective website.

      The most important similarities in both Animoto and Photo Bucket were that the picture quality were both pretty good for the most part. The most important differences were that Animoto has music and Photo Bucket doesn't which is important to me and I think music gives the slideshow an interesting affect. Finally, the website that I would personally use in the future is Animoto because of the music and overall is easier to use out of both websites.

    

Scavenger Hunt

 

I chose these five photos because each of them mean something different. In this assignment I was supposed to take pictures depending on the list that we were given. The first picture was an extreme close up of an eye and it looks really cool because you can see an eye close up and the color looks really bold. The second picture was a close up of something blue so I took a picture of a bench and the wood in the picture helps people understand that it is a bench. The third picture is my favorite and it is an extreme close up of something intricate so I chose a leaf because it has many different lines and details and also the water on the leaf makes it look even more detailed. The fourth picture is a low angle of something red so I chose a fire hydrant because it was red and the sign above it was also red. The low angle is a good way to show something and the other stuff above it. The fifth and final picture that I chose was a long shot of an empty space so I took a picture of the hallway because there were many different colors in the hallway and it looked creative. When I made the contact in Photoshop it wasn't difficult because I just had to take the pictures from my scavenger hunt file and Photoshop did everything else and created the contact sheet. I also labeled all of my pictures before creating the contact sheet. Overall this assignment was good because it taught me different things about photography that I didn't know before.

Photography

I don't do a lot of photography but I do post pictures on Instagram and just take pictures for fun at times. When I edit my pictures I usually just use the edits that are already on my phone or apps. I want to learn a lot more about photography because I think it's very interesting and I know that there are a lot of cool things that you can do to pictures to edit them. I always use my phone when I take pictures.

My info graphic is about Animal Cruelty and the different statistics and facts about animal cruelty. It has different pictures and graphs to help better explain the facts that I gave and there is lots of different colors and fonts to catch others attention. The websites at the bottom show where I got all of my facts but put it into my own words but I still gave the websites credit. 

An infographic is a picture or graph that gives information on a certain topic in an interesting way. Infographics  give information and are usually colorful to catch peoples attention. Infographics work by putting interesting facts and colors about a topic so people will  stop and take the time to read them. Infographics give statistics about topics and usually involve numbers and graphs. The things that make a really good infographic is lots of colors to catch peoples' attention and not a ton of information all on one page because then it wouldn't be easy to read. Infographics can be interesting if it's done in the right way.

Post 2 What Are Your Favorite Apps On Your Phone Or Tablet? Why?

One of my favorite apps on my phone is Instagram. I like Instagram because I can talk to other people and share pictures with others. Another app that I like is Twitter. I like Twitter because I can see what's going on with others and know if there are any events coming up. Also another app that I like is Vine because it has a lot of funny videos that are good to watch. I also like Snapchat because I can send pictures to all the people in my contacts and add stories.

Some things that I love about Kansas City is everything is all together. There are a lot of shops and restaurants and a lot of entertainment available in Kansas City. My favorite thing I like to do in Kansas City is go shopping and look at all of the different shops that Kansas City offers. My favorite shops are Forever 21 and Pink. One of my favorite teams in Kansas city is the Royals. The Royals are doing very good right now and keep moving on to the next games. Kansas City is a great place to go if someone is looking for a lot of entertainment and shops.
